Job Title: Account Executive/Business Development Manager

Our client develops advanced, business-critical IT software solutions. As a nationwide, professional services firm, it focus on critical systems that enable clients to do business, using the best, most advanced technologies that can be leveraged into even more powerful, flexible and adaptable systems.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Generate and sustain profitable revenue streams from the sale of software development projects, as well as from engagements that support creative service practice
2) Establish and maintain relationships with strategic buying influences at client organizations in order to monitor and maintain customer satisfaction levels and to uncover opportunities for new projects
3) Work closely and effectively with regional management and colleagues from other support groups within the company
4) Manage all phases of the sales cycle, including proposal development
5) Focus (continually) on expanding business base by attending local networking events and by establishing relationships with professionals from alliance/ business partners

Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s Degree
2) 5+ years of experience in services/solution sales and/or software sales, preferably selling 100% customized professional software services
3) 5+ years of experience within the Hartford, CT market
4) Prior sales experience in selling services utilizing one or more of the following technologies – J2EE and Microsoft .NET
5) Previous relationship with Microsoft is a plus
6) Proven C-level solutions selling experience
7) Extensive and current contact base with Fortune 500 or 1000 companies and proven successful vendor relationships with those contacts
8) Experience in Salesforce.com is a plus
9) Proven sales results
10) Training on and experience using Strategic Selling or other sales methodology preferred
11) Vertical experience in financial services, retail, insurance and pharmaceutical industries a plus
12) Successful working experience in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment
13) Demonstrated (with examples) ability to develop long-standing relationships (several key executive relationships) and sales results (several million dollars per year in sales)
14) Willingness to provide specific examples, including local Hartford company names and the position level of the relationship
15) Willingness to share quota and achievement information
16) Excellent written and communication skills
17) Outgoing personality with good listening skills
18) Authorized to work in the United States
19) Willingness to travel primarily within CT (other travel may be required)
