Our client specializes in engineering, design and construction projects. They are looking at doubling in size over the next year.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Provide various technical, analytical, administrative, financial and field functions to ensure the effective administration of construction contracts
2) Assist the Resident Superintendent in administration
3) Interpret the contract documents to ensure that work is completed as specified
4) Provide expertise in construction practices used for projects
5) Inspect the work material and methods to ensure that the requirements of the contract documents are met in a safe and quality manner
6) Attend regular progress meetings with the contractor and prepare meeting minutes as required
7) Review correspondence from the contractor and prepare draft responses
8) Receive and analyze contractor schedule
9) Review, analyze and comment contractor submissions on material, delays, change orders and payments
Job Requirements:
1) P. Eng. certification in the Province of Ontario or similar Professional Designation
2) Minimum 8 years related construction experience
