Our client specializes in engineering, design and construction projects. They are looking at doubling in size over the next year.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Inspect and examine onsite work acceptance and preparation of reports on work progress for assigned construction contracts
2) Ensure that work is performed as per the contract plans and specifications as well as with applicable codes and safety regulations
3) Be thoroughly familiar with site conditions as well as understand and interpret the requirements and details of the contract drawings and specifications
4) Understand the contractor’s obligations and the engineer’s responsibilities under the contract for inspecting the contract at work according to the established frequency required
5) Examine, measure and test the work to the detail required to ensure contract compliance
6) Observe, act and report on any site contractual or non-contractual infractions of safety, security and operational interference

Job Requirements:
1) Degree (4 year) in relevant Engineering Technology or Architecture Technology discipline
2) Designation of Certified Engineering Technologist of Ontario or equivalent
3) Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
4) Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects as well as the Commissions Safety Policies and Procedures as they apply to the contract
