| Job Title: Senior Electrical Technologist |

Our Vancouver client's office is seeking a Senior Electrical Technologist with power systems design experience obtained in power generation, power transmission and distribution or large industrial systems.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Assisting in the performance of electrical studies,
* Assisting in preparation of conceptual designs, equipment layouts, cost estimates and technical specifications
* Preparing design documents for primary equipment as well as control and protection systems,
* Participating in on site construction supervision,
* Participating in on-site testing and commissioning of electrical facilities for power generating plants and substations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 15+ years of progressive design and site experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Hydroelectric generating plants, HV substation design, MV and LV distribution system design, large industrial plant electrical systems.
The attributes most sought after are:
* Certificate in electrical engineering technology
* Proven experience in fault studies and protective relaying, PLC systems and instrumentation
* Familiarity with Canadian and North American electrical standards and codes
* Project planning and cost estimating experience
* Report preparation experience
* Demonstrated writing and oral communication skills,
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills,
* Ability to interact successfully with staff, clients and vendors.
* Advanced skills in AutoCAD
