Our Vancouver client is currently seeking an Intermediate/Senior Instrumentation Engineer for our Project Delivery Group. The role includes working on P &ID development, control system design, instrumentation design and instrument specifications, communication and access control, PLC and DCS software development, preparation of construction drawings, which will include but not limited to electrical schematics, loop diagrams, instrument location diagrams and installation details. The position is offered in our Vancouver office; however, opportunities to travel should be expected.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with a strong interest in Process Control, Automation and Computers. The candidate will ideally be a registered professional or be in the final stages of registration. The attributes most sought after are solid academic achievement, strong interpersonal skills and commitment, augmented by at least 4 to 5 years design office experience in a mining and mineral processing environment, with emphasis on mineral processing. Experience with programming languages such as C++ and VB and engineering tools such as Intools, Plant Space P&ID, 3D modeling, and Relational Database will be considered a definite asset.
