| Job Title: Bilingual Customer Service Representative |

| The People Bank Markham Office is currently recruiting for our client in the Hydro industry who is seeking Bilingual Customer Service Representative. The position is located in Scarborough.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French
• 1 to 3 years previous collection experience, in a call centre setting preferred
• Previous experience in trace activity preferred
• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
• Customer focus for both internal and external customers
• Strong written skills in both English and French
• Responsive and easily adapts to change
• PC literate
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and accounts types essential
• Team player who is goal oriented, objective driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work flexible hours Monday to Friday within the hours of 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for recovering funds on past due accounts
• Responsible for resolving customer disputes/complaints
• Daily customer contact through automated inbound and outbound calling to discuss outstanding balances and collect payment
• Update customer records in the billing system with accurate notes in English
• May be responsible for translating collection letters from English to French
• Will be point of contact for any French-speaking customers calling into the call centre
• Process adjustments and update customer information as required
• Responsible for departmental objectives for amounts recovered, call quality, call volumes
• Must demonstrate initiative in problem solving and in working with other departments within the organization
• During the call time some data entry (notes, payment arrangements) is required
• After call work may be required to update an account which would represent only a small % of the daily work – this must be done immediately after completing a call. Work cannot be stored up for later.
• A standard full time shift is 8.5 hours long including 1 hour for lunch and two 15 minute breaks.
• Shifts will be on a rotating basis month to month to ensure coverage on the phones by team members at all times.
