Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Description
The People Bank Markham Office is currently recruiting for our client in the Technology industry who is seeking a Human Resources Manager. The position pays $75-80K and is located Mississauga. This is a permanent opportunity. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Manage the recruitment effort for all personnel, students, and temporary employees ensuring needs are met in the time frames required; conduct candidate testing and reference checking and write and place advertisements • Manage the Recruitment section of the Threshold Web site and act as liaison with recruiters and advertising media personnel as appropriate • In conjunction with management, develop processes and documentation such as job descriptions; orientation and training plans, etc. • Conduct salary surveys and research as required • Ensure proper orientation of new hires, making certain a mentor has been appointed and a training plan established. Follow-up with both new hire and hiring manager to assist in successful transition into the company • Provide employee relations counselling, outplacement counselling, and exit interviewing • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed • Performance management including coaching of management; ensuring disciplinary process is followed; etc. • Responsible for labour relations, providing advice and counsel on personnel issues • Analyze the information gained from exit interviews and advertising efforts and report on a quarterly basis to Director, HR and President, Threshold • Provide soft skills training as deemed appropriate • Draft new processes, policies and procedures • Monitor Performance Reviews to ensure comments are appropriate and that they are completed on time • Stay current with federal, provincial and case law changes and monitor labour law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR as they pertain to Threshold’s business • Ensure Threshold is compliant with Privacy laws • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: • University / College Graduate • CHRP Preferred • Experienced HR Professional with demonstrated history of hiring in the technology sector SALARY: $75-80K
