Our Vancouver client is looking to hire a Senior Piping Designer for the Project Delivery Group. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Working with multi-discipline teams to develop optimum piping and equipment layout in accordance with client's and other established standards.
· Developing and checking 3D piping models in an integrated CAD environment.
· Preparing, updating and checking piping deliverables including: general arrangement and detail drawings, P& IDs, isometrics and sketches in accordance with established quality procedures.
· Preparing MTOs, drawings lists, line lists and valve lists.
Positions will be based out of our Vancouver office, however travel may be expected.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will be technical college graduates, or have equivalent knowledge and experience, with a minimum of 10 years work experience as an engineering technician or technologist specializing in Process Piping design and drafting. Candidates must be experienced using Intergraph PDS, Bentley PlantSpace and/or 3D MicroStation and have a solid understanding of piping related Codes and Standards (ASME, API, etc.). Experience in mining and metallurgical processing facilities is preferred. Proficiency with MS Office is an asset.
