Our client is currently seeking an Intermediate/Senior Systems and Process Control Designer in their Vancouver office. This role includes working on P&ID development, control system design, instrumentation design and assisting with instrument specifications, communication and access control, PLC and DCS software development, preparation of construction drawings, which will include but not be limited to electrical schematics, loop diagrams, instrument location diagrams and installation details.
The position is offered in our Vancouver office; however, opportunities to travel should be expected.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a related engineering technology diploma from a recognized technical institute and 6-10 years of experience in industrial systems and process control.
The attributes most sought after for this role are:
- Strong interpersonal skills, augmented by at least 6 years of Systems and Process Control design for EPC types of projects. Experience with Mining Projects is a definite asset.
- Experience with programming languages such as C++ and VB and engineering tools such as Intools, Plant Space P&ID, 3D modeling, and Relational Database wills be considered a definite asset.
Successful candidates will execute the engineering design working independently and help develop junior staff.
