Overview & Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Leader for its Community Infrastructure group in Edmonton. This role takes responsibility for the overall business management and development of the Edmonton practice and people (75 staff). This position will involve a level of management for all aspects of municipal engineering, land development, urban planning and landscape architecture disciplines. The role will involve Project / Client Management for both the public and private sector, with a number of high profile projects/ clients. The position will also need a level of design understanding and be a senior quality control/ technical mentor for the group.
Applicants should be a professional engineer with a strong track record of success in leadership and business management in the Edmonton region. Strong and rounded technical experience in Municipal Engineering is required in addition to well developed and proven skills in the marketing of professional engineering services and Client Management. Applicants must be driven to succeed. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the private sector.
Ideally experience will have been gained through 15-20 years of progressive technical and management roles with relevant organizations.
The expectation is that this individual would have the capacity for continued career growth within the senior management ranks of our client's organization.
Key accountabilities include:
" Senior level management of all aspects of Municipal Engineering, Land Development, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture disciplines

" Proven skills in the marketing and growth of professional engineering services
" Ensuring quality control and risk management practices are followed
